She immediately thought of a joke, and even worse: she told him that this first name suited a horse more than a child. As the future dad explains in his message posted on Reddit, he and his wife are in the process of adoption and they have already chosen the name of their baby. While they were at the future grandmother’s, the latter asked her if they had an idea for a first name. The dad therefore explained to him how he had chosen the first name: “When I first read the name Nikiforos a year and a half ago, I knew it would be my future child. my mother freaked out and said she could name a horse that, but not a child. She began to imitate horse noises.“His mum’s reaction hurt him and his wife deeply. The man tried to explain to his mother that he had chosen this first name because he has a story, a great painter and a poet bore this first name. But there was nothing more to do, she thought it was all a joke.
