After announcing its batch of novelty on Nintendo Switch — the Splatoon 3 Limited Edition OLED Switch, a new Kirby game which arrives this summer, a release date and a new heroine for Bayonetta 3 – it is less good news that the Japanese giant is offering us this time.
Indeed, it would seem that the My Nintendo Store be under maintenance for some time.
See you in a few weeks
The My Nintendo Store is therefore undergoing technical maintenance which will last a few weeks. The “In development” page of the official site does not tell us more.
Several European countries are experiencing the closure of the store, including in particular Spain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands in addition to Francereports nintendo life. The British and American My Nintendo Stores do not seem to be affected and are functioning normally.
“During this period, it will not be possible to place orders or visit the My Nintendo Store. Orders made recently will however be delivered as indicated in the order confirmation emails that have already been sent.
If you have any questions, please contact our consumer service for further details on the status of your order(s). can we read on the site.
What will change
Although we do not know the reason for this long maintenance, many Internet users have interesting arguments. Many are talking in particular about the fact that the My Nintendo Store is in development almost two weeks before the release of the highly anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on July 29, and that is certainly not a coincidence. It is important to note that the special editions of the JRPG of Monolith Soft are only available for purchase from the My Nintendo Store.
Others believe that it may be – although unlikely – the implementation of Paypal paymentwhich users have been waiting for a long time, or simply toa breach in the security of the site.
Impossible for the moment to say why with certainty why the wait is so long, because Nintendo has not yet responded to requests for explanation.
