My Prime Adapt’: how can I benefit from this housing development assistance intended for seniors? : Current Woman Le MAG

Ma Prime Adapt’ is a brand new system which will be launched on January 1, 2024. This unique assistance for the adaptation of housing aims to enable people with disabilities or elderly people losing their autonomy to continue to live at home by financing work to adapt their homes. In order to make them safer and more functional, in particular to reduce the risk of falls and domestic accidents. “The objective is to adapt more than 600,000 homes over the coming years.”, declared Christophe Béchu, Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, during the presentation of the “interministerial strategy dedicated to Aging Well” last November.

Who is Ma Prime Adapt’ for?

Obtaining Ma Prime Adapt’ is subject to certain conditions. It is only aimed at households whose income is considered modest (up to €30,427 of reference tax income for two people) or very modest (up to €23,734 of reference tax income for two people) according to the Anah scale (National Housing Agency).

To qualify for this bonus, you must be the owner-occupier or tenant of the private park and be in one of the following situations:

  • Be a person aged over 70, without loss of autonomy condition (it is not necessary to be assessed in GIR 1 to 6)
  • Be a person aged between 60 and 69, subject to GIR between 1 and 6.
  • Being a person with a disability regardless of age.

How much is the premium?

The amount of Ma Prime Adapt’ is variable and depends on the amount committed for the work. This subsidy makes it possible to finance 50% or 70% of the work, depending on the applicant’s resources, within the limit of a ceiling of subsidized work of 22,000 euros excluding tax. This assistance is obviously financial, but it is also administrative thanks to a single file and simplified procedures. The applicant is supported at each stage of the project.

To know. The amount will be paid upon request by the National Housing Agency (Anah).

My Prime Adapt’: how to make a request?

The first step is for the applicant to think about their needs: what work is necessary in the accommodation? Are all the arrangements feasible? To answer these questions, you must first obtain information on the France Rénov’ website then contact a France Rénov’ advisor by telephone on 0 808 800 700.

Then, the person is put in contact with an AMO guide (Project management assistant, approved or authorized by Anah) to help them define their work project and support them in its completion. An occupational therapist can also intervene to carry out a housing diagnosis.

When the file is completed, it must be submitted in paper format to the local Anah delegations or online on the MonProjetAnah.gouv.fr website.

All that remains is to have the work carried out by the craftsman of your choice to receive the subsidy.

What work is covered by Ma Prime Adapt’?

The work undertaken aims to make adaptations to the accommodation, outside or inside, to make it more secure and ergonomic.

Among the work that can be carried out: installation of a stair lift, bathroom or kitchen fittings, installation of raised toilets and grab bar, motion detection lighting, access ramp to the entrance to the accommodation, disabled parking space, installation of roller shutters, widening of the front door.
