Jon Cryer, who played the brother of Charlie Sheen’s character in the sitcom “My Uncle Charlie”, gives his honest feelings about a possible return of the series…
My Uncle Charlie enjoyed great success in the United States during its broadcast on the CBS channel between 2003 and 2015. Initially supported by Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and Charlie Sheen, the sitcom experienced an earthquake at the end of its season 8 when the latter publicly insulted Chuck Lorre, one of the creators.

Following this scandal, the actor known for his addictions and often inappropriate behavior was fired and then replaced by Ashton Kutcher. Two and a half men (name of the comic fiction in the original version) then experienced a sort of reboot and continued until reaching 12 seasons.
Today, water has flowed under the bridge and some are wondering if My Uncle Charlie could possibly be reborn from its ashes… This is also a question from Alyssa Farah Griffin, one of the presenters of the talk show The Viewwho was quick to ask her guest Jon Cryer (present on the show on February 9, 2024) if a comeback of the series would be possible…
Frankly, Alan’s interpreter then replied: “I don’t see how that would be possible. Charlie is doing much better today and that’s great. We haven’t spoken for several years but he’s doing much better and I’m obviously happy about that.“

“The hardest part for Chuck Lorre was how everything fell apart because he really thought he was friends with Charlieremembered Jon Cryer. Losing that was really, really hard for him. But they reconciled and that’s a beautiful thing.“
“As far as I’m concerned, when the show was still around, Charlie was probably the highest paid actor on television and probably in the entire history of television. And no one has yet surpassed the enormous amount of money he was making at the time“, observed the actor.
“However, he ruined everything. So I tell myself that I love him, I wish him the best and I hope he lives in good health for the rest of his life, but I don’t know if I’ll ever work with him again” concluded Jon Cryer.
With humor, the host then revived it by proposing the solution that the entire cast receives the same fee, like the stars of Friends in the past. The main person concerned then acquiesced in the same tone by declaring: “That seems fair to me!“.
