A 28-year-old Belgian woman has not given any sign of life since January 23 when she was in a village in Peru.
“Who saw Natacha de Crombrugghe de Schipsdaele?”, questions the Belgian federal police in the search notice section. On January 23, the 28-year-old Belgian woman was last seen in a pension in the village of Cabanacondé, located in the Colca Canyon, southern Peru. Since, radio silenceshe has not given any news to her relatives who are moving heaven and earth to find her.
According to newspaper information The ParisianNatacha left her backpack in her hotel room before leaving exploring this 3,270m deep Peruvian canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world. A few days earlier, the traveler had visited Machu Picchu, the fascinating Inca citadel perched at an altitude of 2430 meters. In the last photo posted on her social networks, she points with a big smile to the ruins of this tourist gem.
What the last person to have seen Natacha says
Natacha’s parents had their daughter on the phone for the last timeon January 23 around 5:30 p.m., indicates The Parisian. According to the Peruvian daily La Republica, the young woman exchanged with the manager of the hotel La Estancia the next day, at dawn. The latter claims to have saw the Belgian leave around 5 a.m.. “When I met her, she told me that she was going for a hike in the Colca Canyon and that she would come back in the evening to get her backpack”she told local media.
Experts from Divincri, the investigation unit of the Peruvian police carried out “Luminol tests at the place where Belgian tourist Natacha de Crombrugghe was staying. No trace of blood was found which could be evidence of a possible crime”reports La Republica. For the investigators, it is therefore ruled out that the young woman was the victim of an assault at his hotel. However, the track according to which Natacha would have lost during his trek is considered.
