Several years after the release of the original Daija, NACON is launching a redesign of its arcade stick with streamer Kayane as its ambassador.

Four years after the first model

It is not one, but two new versions that NACON has decided to market, taking advantage of the official PlayStation licenses on the one hand and Xbox on the other. These versions are of course very close and both benefit from the support of Marie-Laure Norindr.
Better known under the pseudonym Kayane, the player and host had already participated in the design of the first version Daija by providing various advice. Today, NACON indicates that it relies on its expertise as well as on ” player feedback “.
Better coating, better stability
Not to mention the differences between the two new Daija and the 2018 version, NACON lists the ” main strengths » of his stick and specifies that « the positioning of the buttons, the space for the hands and the ergonomics of the product have been studied to provide optimal playing comfort “.
NACON emphasizes the establishment of a ” new side key lock system to avoid accidentally pausing the game. It also added a new profile selection option as well as a new Arcade Stick opening system.
For this 2022 version of the Daija Arcade Stick, there is also talk of a new coating under the device case, ” more flexible “, but also ” more grippy for better stability “. For its part, the wrist rest part is textured for more comfort.
Two joysticks delivered
As was the case for the first version of the Daija, the manufacturer has endeavored to use only recognized components. These are therefore SANWAs which are again used on this new version, with however a lot of small novelties.
NACON emphasizes that the new Daija is also ” fully compatible with Seimitsu branded parts, offering greater customization possibilities “. To do this, the manufacturer also delivers three cover patterns for the stick tray, and templates are available for download.
Two tools are also supplied with the Arcade Stick, and the latter has two storage compartments to leave nothing lying around. The detachable 3-meter USB-C cable can be stored in the stick and, to spoil nothing, NACON delivers two joysticks (“ ball top ” Where ” top beats “).
Finally, NACON insists on the release of a new application to adjust the Arcade Stick to the least of its desires. The brand concludes its press release by stating that the Daija Arcade Stick is already available for 279.90 euros in PlayStation (PS4 and PS5) or Xbox (One and Series X|S) versions, knowing that both are PC compatible. .
