A shock for fans of the game Everyone wants to take its place. In post since the summer of 2023, Jarry took over from Laurence Boccolini at the helm of the game show broadcast on France 2. A highly publicized arrival, which appealed to fans of the show. But after less than a year of good and loyal service, the man who is better known for his work as a comedian announced on April 4 that he was hanging up his gloves. A not so surprising departure for Nagui, previous occupant of the position of presenter of the game. Invited on the set of C the weekly this Saturday April 6, the TV star revealed that she had known for several months that Jarry would not stay any longer: “He told me that in October.”
His departure was therefore planned. “In October, he told me: ‘I’ll stop in June. I’ll do a year and I’ll stop.'”confided Nagui to Aurélie Casse, adding that he was surprised to learn that Jarry knew that he would not linger on the show. “Yes yes, I already know. I will have my tour, I won’t be able to do this much longer”, Jarry had explained to Mélanie Page’s husband. A lucidity which, for Nagui, only “add to one’s merit”both presenting a game “It’s a job.” He explains : “Game animator is a profession. There are those who know, those who would like to and those who don’t know. But it’s really something very special.”
This host who could see herself replacing Jarry
Present on the set alongside Nagui, Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi was one of the names mentioned by the team of C the weekly to replace Jarry, among other audiovisual personalities, such as Valérie Damidot or Olivier Minne. But could she see herself taking the place of the comedian at the helm of the France 2 game? Possible for the journalist, who imagines herself presenting entertainment. “Yes, I think I would like a game.” She also confided that she loved playing, before being corrected by Nagui: “No, you don’t like losing.” “I don’t like losing, but because I win”she concluded with humor.
