Nail polish with a matt look: Lifehack in the video

There is no question: fingernails with a matt look are currently the absolute ultimate – and not just since stars like Kylie Jenner have been running around with them! Especially in combination with matching matte lipstick, the look is simply stunning – especially now in autumn.

The effect is particularly nice, of course, if you emphasize the nail polish with small accents.

This is how you make matt nail polish yourself

You can easily "mattify" your favorite varnish yourself with these tricks – and it's really quick!

  • Method 1: Baking powder! You need some finely sifted baking soda (no crumbs!) And a brush. Now you paint your nails – and brush them with a thin layer of baking soda while still wet. Wait a moment for the nails to dry – and wipe the baking soda off the polish. Please: matt look, in seconds!
  • Method 2: Matt top coat! Top coat or "top coat" is a very convenient way to create a matt look. To do this, first apply a base coat of your favorite varnish to your nails – and then add another layer. Now you can grab the topcoat paint. But be careful: some types change the color of your nail polish! If the top coat in the bottle looks foggy or milky, it will brighten your fingernails. When applying the top coat, you have to make sure that the top coat takes a long time to dry. Even if it looks dry on the surface, it can remain damp for a long time. As a precaution, you should be extra careful with your nails for the next 60 minutes. But: the effect is unbeatable!
  • Method 3: make steam! Our favorite trick: Your shimmering favorite paint becomes a matt star – without much effort or additional costs! In the video you can see step by step what you have to do.
