Name change for Gearbox Publishing to Arc Games

Last March, Gearbox Software left Embracer to join the Take-Two family. A buyout of nearly $460 million but which did not include all of the Gearbox entities. Thus, Embracer retains Gearbox Publishing with in particular the publication rights for the series Remnant or Hyper Light Breaker.

This is why Gearbox Publishing is changing its name to Arc Games. And thus clearly mark the divorce between the two entities. But don’t worry, the changes stop there.

Arc Games will continue to publish titles previously published under the Gearbox Publishing banner. This of course includes games
Remnant but also Earthfall Or Have a Nice Death. The entire game catalog remains centralized on the Arc launcher.

The studio is not initiating any change of direction or restructuring. Therefore, Arc Games has not planned any team changes and no jobs will be eliminated. Good news at a time when waves of layoffs are continuing.
