Nancy Pelosi resigns as Democratic congressional leader for the first time in 20 years

Nancy Pelosi, the influential Democratic President of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, announced on Thursday, November 17, her intention to no longer assume this position in the future assembly resulting from the recent elections.

“I will not run for the Democratic leadership of the next Congress”after Republicans won a majority in the lower house there, Ms.me Pelosi, 82, who has played a prominent role in American political life for two decades.
