Unveiled during the spring/summer 2024 men’s collection fashion show, the Nanogram is a very unique Bluetooth speaker. With its design by Pharrell Williams, it is inspired by the iconic Toupie handbag from Louis Vuitton, with its shape halfway between a spinning top and a flying saucer.

Luxurious and adventurous

If the overall look of the speaker is a matter of taste, the French luxury brand has gone all out on the construction quality and the materials used. Thus, this UFO is adorned with an aluminum shell decorated with Manogram flowers, the iconic symbol of the Vuitton house, a perforated grille, a buckle and some embellishments in genuine leather, rivets and buttons in polished steel and… ‘a rubber surround with backlighting of the brand’s letters. Premium services in short, which take nothing away from the sought-after adventurer aspect.

Indeed, the Nanogram is a portable speaker that relies heavily on its transportability. It is equipped with a removable carabiner, has a compact size and weight (13.5 cm in diameter, 7.5 cm in height, weight of 520 g) and displays an IP67 certification, which demonstrates its resistance to temporary immersion in water. This last point, however, makes us tick because of the presence of leather on the speaker.

A portable speaker with premium features

On a more technical level, the Nanogram integrates a single 5.8 cm speaker capable of broadcasting over a frequency range ranging from 170 Hz to 20 kHz (accuracy of -3 dB). Louis Vuitton also provides certain technical data such as the maximum sound level (84 dB SPL) at 1 m, and the total power of the machine: 100 W RMS.

The Nanogram is not just a luxury item, it is also a true portable speaker with its weight of features. We thus find two microphones to be able to make calls or invoke your favorite voice assistant, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with multipoint support, a stereo mode for pairing two speakers and a USB-C port used for playing musical content and charging . Moreover, Louis Vuitton announces a battery life of 17 hours for its Nanogram. The speaker is compatible with the Apple Find My network, to make it easier to find, as well as with the Louis Vuitton Connect app.

The Nanogram is already available for a mere €1,950. A Damoflage version (French camouflage print with Louis Vuitton signature checkerboard) is sold for €2,250. Louis Vuitton also sells several other speakers and a pair of Horizon Light Up headphones.
