QFour young women who took part in a rally on March 14 in Nantes against the pension reform filed a complaint on Friday against X for acts of “sexual violence by a depositary of public authority”, according to information from France Blue. They claim to have been victims of inappropriate gestures on the private parts by the police during body searches.

Deputies from Loire-Atlantique de la Nupes had sent a letter to the prefect to obtain clarification on what happened and to request an administrative investigation.

“Humiliating and vexatious remarks”

These young women felt shocked and humiliated, according to one of their lawyers. “I received in my office young women shocked by what had happened to them, explains master Aurélie Rolland, lawyer for two of the students. They are flabbergasted by these extremely inappropriate gestures and are now stressed and anxious. Another student evokes “humiliating and vexatious remarks, disconnected from what could be likened to an identity check”. The lawyer for two of the complainants indicates that her clients want “a serious investigation to be carried out within a reasonable time”.
