Mourning Harry Brant: Naomi Campbell speaks for the first time about the death of Stephanie Seymour's son, who was her godchild.

Naomi Campbell (50) mourns her godson Harry Brant. The 24-year-old died last Sunday (January 17) after an accidental overdose, as his mother, supermodel Stephanie Seymour (52) announced earlier this week. It took her a few days to collect and process her thoughts that her "beautiful godson Harry Brant went into the spiritual world," said Campbell on Friday in an Instagram post that she dedicated to the deceased.

"Since you were a baby you have brought this innate magical joy to everyone around you. I took you to my meetings and people asked if they could book you – you weren't even ten," Campbell wrote to one Picture of the two. She describes Brant as "smart as a fox" and "sparkling with creativity on all levels". "Harry, you took a piece of my heart. We never judged each other, our relationship has always been honest," the model continued. "I will always love you unconditionally and I know (…) we will meet again and be full of joy. Your godmother."

Supermodels mourn Harry Brant

Naomi Campbell has been friends with the family for a long time: The British and Stephanie Seymour belong to the first generation of "supermodels" alongside Cindy Crawford (54), Linda Evangelista (55) and Christy Turlington (52). In 1995 Campbell was even one of the maid of honor at Seymour's wedding to husband Peter Brant (73), two years later she was named godmother to Harry, who was born in 1996.

In the comments, her followers mourn the model. Helena Christensen (52), who also belongs to the 1990s supermodel generation, expressed her condolences with the words: "I'm very sorry for the painful loss for everyone." Linda Evangelista commented, among other things, with a broken heart emoji, model Poppy Delevingne (34) wrote: "Heartbreaking. Such a beautiful soul, gone way too early. Rest in peace, Harry. I think of you, Naomi." And Harry's older brother Peter (27) also spoke up and wrote: "He is with us forever. He lives on in our hearts and memories."
