End clap for “Polonews”. Natacha Polony will not return to lead her daily show on BFMTV, “Le Parisien” announced on Saturday. Launched in the summer of 2021 with a broadcast on weekdays between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., “Polonews” will therefore only last one season. “These are crazy schedules,” explained the journalist.

You will no longer see her at the start of the school year on BFMTV: Natacha Polony has decided to stop polo news, his daily program on the news channel. According to the newspaper The Parisian, there will be no more polo news, due to a busy schedule. Between his daily newspaper plus the editorial management of the weekly Marianne the radio, Natacha Polony simply couldn’t take it anymore.

Continue the collaboration in a “more flexible way”

“I did it for Marianne because it gave us visibility, but these are crazy hours”, explained the journalist to the daily. BFMTV affirms to the Parisian that the show had anyway been designed to last a year, the time of the presidential election. The channel is still considering “continuing the collaboration with Natacha Polony, in a more flexible way”. And for the box from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., the one that was occupied by polo newsnothing has yet been announced or acted upon.

As noted The Parisian, polo news attracted between 200,000 and 300,000 viewers each evening, twice as many as its competitor on CNews, “L’heure des pros 2”, even if that was enough to make “management satisfied”.
