Natalie Portman: “I’m shocked”

According to Israeli information, hundreds of Israelis were killed and more than 100 people – including women, children and senior citizens – were kidnapped into the Gaza Strip.

This is unbelievable, writes Madonna. “My heart beats for Israel. The families and homes that have been destroyed. The children who have been lost. The innocent victims who have been killed. Everyone who is suffering or will suffer from this conflict.” She will pray for everyone, said the 65-year-old. “I am aware that this is the work of Hamas and that there are many innocent people in Palestine who do not support this terrorist organization. This tragic attack will only cause more suffering for everyone.” At the end of her statement, Madonna made an appeal to her followers: “Let us pray for everyone. For Israel. For peace. For the world.”
