Celebrity crowd at the boxing match between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich
14,000 visitors want to see Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich fight in Düsseldorf. Many celebrities have also traveled there.
Entertainer Stefan Raab (57) will return to television on Saturday evening, September 14th, after a break of almost ten years – with a boxing match against ex-professional boxer Regina Halmich (47). From 8:15 p.m., the Cologne-based private broadcaster RTL will broadcast “The Clark Final Fight – Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich”. It is already the third boxing match between the two. So far, she has left the ring as the winner – many celebrities are also curious to see whether that will be the case again.
Food content creator Stefano Zarrella (33), entertainer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (38), comedy star Ilka Bessin (52), TV stars Evelyn Burdecki (35) and Olivia Jones (54) and “the Bachelors” Sebastian Klaus (36) and Dennis Gries (30) are all cheering in the sold-out PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf. Natascha Ochsenknecht (60) also traveled all the way from Berlin to keep her fingers crossed for her friend.
Ochsenknecht brings her friend “top power”
“The suitcase is packed. Including top power for you. See you at the ring,” she announced in advance in her Instagram story. Stefano Zarrella raved in the countdown on RTL+ that Raab was simply an icon of his childhood. He recommended that he quickly eat a banana or a protein bar before the fight. He believed that the TV star had trained very well. It was therefore “50:50” who could win. Director David Helmut (37) came with his heavily pregnant wife, actress Lena Meckel (31), and wondered whether Stefan Raab might look like he always does and that was exactly “the joke”. In any case, the two were hoping for a really spectacular appearance – floating into the ring included. Olivia Jones stressed that she is not normally interested in boxing at all. But if Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich were competing, she could not miss it.
Joey Kelly (51), who has often appeared in front of the camera with Raab, predicted that his chances were better than ever. He had “trained excellently” and the Instagram videos were of course just a show. “I’m not allowed to tell you everything I know,” he said, fueling curiosity about Raab’s fitness. He had seen him a few weeks ago and he had “fire in his eyes.”
For months, RTL and Stefan Raab have been building up the excitement for the live event, the “Fight of the Year”. The former “TV Total” hero first appeared on Instagram on March 29th with a short clip in which Elton (53) encouraged him to make a TV comeback. On April 1st, Raab then announced the boxing rematch – due to the date, many initially thought it was a joke. But then suddenly you could actually buy tickets for September 14th. In the past few days, Raab had then appeared again with Instagram videos, and continued to show himself in a fat suit and as a kind of Ken after supposed cosmetic surgery. What he really looks like will only be revealed on Saturday evening.
