I lived in Russia for three years and there, the tradition is to give the father’s first name to the first child. The mother, a former European skating champion, continued her explanation about her daughter’s first name: “There was this idea on my side, and then, the first name Jeanne is present in our respective families, with Jean. It was therefore the idea of filiation which took precedence. It was obvious“, she indicated. The lovebirds didn’t need much discussion or time to think: “It was decided very quickly”explained the one who was the first woman elected to the presidency of the French Ice Sports Federation and who remained in position from 2020 to 2022. If Nathalie Péchalat made some revelations about her elder sister, she remained discreet about the origin of the first name of her second daughter, Alice, born in 2021. As for the dad, he is also not very talkative about his children – he also has two grown sons from a previous union.
