Zug – ZSC Lions 3:7

In a fatal 8 minutes in the final third, the ZSC were netted 4 times, before and after the game was actually more balanced. The shot ratio was 32:32, but in their current form the Zugers lack luck and efficiency in front of the goal. Jesper Fröden scored twice for ZSC, who celebrated 7 times in 1 game for the third time this season.

Biel – Davos 4:5 nP

The Zealanders gained a 1-goal lead a total of 3 times in their first game after the dismissal of coach Petri Matikainen. However, Davos kept coming back. Just under 2 minutes before the end of regular time, it was Matej Stransky who saved the Graubünden team with the score 4:4 in extra time. Leon Bristedt and Stransky finally gave the HCD the extra point with their successful attempts in the penalty shootout.

2 points were enough for the Davos team to overtake Lugano in the table and climb into a direct playoff place. Biel, for its part, remains in 11th place and therefore in a “holiday place”. However, the tenth-placed Langnauer are “only” ahead of Biel because of their better record from the direct encounters.

Lugano – Freiburg 2:4

When top scorer Calvin Thürkauf extended Luganesi’s lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute, there wasn’t much to suggest that Freiburg would win away. But the Saanestadt team fought back impressively and equalized the score before the second half-time siren. In the final section, Gottéron skillfully combined to make it 3-2. Lucas Wallmark only had to push the puck over the line from a short distance.

This was followed by an attack from Lugano, which, however, remained unrewarded. Reto Berra could no longer be outwitted at the back and Nathan Marchon put the lid on Freiburg’s victory with the 4-2 into the empty goal.

Geneva-Servette – Ambri 3:4

Laurent Dauphin was Jussi Olkinuora’s nightmare personified that evening. The Ambri center defeated the Servette goalie 4 times and single-handedly shot his team to an important victory. The Leventiners are now level with the champions in terms of points and have the playoff chances of 8th in the table. and -9. are still theoretical in nature, both are likely to plan with the play-ins.

Servette led 2-0 after just 4 minutes, but within just 17 seconds Dauphin equalized with a brace (12th). After Vincent Praplan had put the home team back in front in the middle third (25th), the 28-year-old Canadian Ambri scored two more goals to secure the away win (36th/39th) and put Olkinuora into misery.

Ajoie – Bern 1:3

SCB used the game against the bottom of the table to boost morale and collect points. The Bernese, who had only celebrated one win in the last 5 games, turned things up in the final third in the Jura and are now 2 points ahead of Lugano in 5th place.

Until the 50th minute, the “Mutzen” were still 0-1 behind away, but within 79 seconds they turned the game around. Joël Vermin with a hammer from the blue line and Tristan Scherwey with a rebound made it 2-1. Shortly before the end, Thierry Bader put the lid on it with an empty netter.

Kloten – Lakers 5:3

Although Rapperswil-Jona took the lead twice against the airport town team, the guests had to make their way home without any points. Kloten made the difference at the start of the third period when Tyler Morley (42′) and Jonathan Ang (44′) made it 4-2 for the hosts with two power play goals.

Thanks to Tyler Moy, the Lakers managed to make it 3:4 (52nd), but it wasn’t enough for the St. Gallen team. While Kloten can celebrate again after 6 defeats in a row, Rapperswil-Jona can no longer reach the play-ins after this defeat, even mathematically.
