Natural yoghurt: The test winner at Stiftung Warentest


Whether garnished with fruit or simply with oatmeal – for many, a portion of natural yoghurt is a good start to the day. Stiftung Warentest wanted to know exactly how good natural yoghurt actually is – and sent 24 products to the laboratory. The result is very positive: 22 of the 24 tested yoghurts are good for the experts. A natural yoghurt was able to set itself apart from the competition.

The lands in first place Andechser natural mild organic yoghurt (see at Rewe). According to the testers from Stiftung Warentest, Andechs natural yoghurt really is what it is declared to be: an organic product. It achieved an overall grade of 1.6 (“good”) and costs an average of 0.33 euros per 100 grams.

The verdict of Stiftung Warentest on Andechser Natur organic mild yoghurt in detail:

  • Sensory judgment: very good (1.5)
  • Microbiological quality: very good (1.3)
  • Residues from the disinfection process: very good (1.0)
  • Packaging: very good (1.5)
  • Declaration: good (2.2)

In addition to the test winner from the organic range, cheap discounter products can also convince. High on the list are:

  • Aldi south Organic pure yoghurt – Grade 1.7
