As CBS announced in a statement, the series will not be renewed after the 3rd season and will therefore no longer receive a 4th season. A shock for many fans and, given the consistently good ratings, also a surprise.
Nevertheless, the end of the series was already in sight, because in mid-April 2024 the parent series “Navy CIS” and the new spin-off “NCIS: Sydney” were already extended for further seasons. The fate of “NCIS: Hawaii” remained uncertain at this point.
Since the franchise’s series are usually renewed at the same time, the silence about the whereabouts of “NCIS: Hawaii” was a bad omen that is now a bitter certainty.
