Long-running crime series ends after the 14th season

After the 14th season of “Navy CIS: LA” it will be over: The main actor LL Cool J announced this in an Instagram post.
One of the longest series in the history of the US broadcaster CBS will end this year: “Navy CIS: LA” (original title: “NCIS: Los Angeles”), offshoot of the eponymous “NCIS” main series, will be released after 14 seasons and far more than 300 episodes will find their culmination in May 2023. That gave series actor LL Cool J (55) announced in an Instagram post.
In it, the musician and actor is happy about the ratings success of an “NCIS” crossover episode before revealing: “After 14 seasons, the time has come to end ‘NCIS: LA’ at the peak of our work.” According to the industry website “Deadline” the decision was made early on so that the series creators can deliver a coherent conclusion.
Always faithful
“Navy CIS: LA” was launched in 2009 as the first branch of the main series, which is now in its 20th season and is still being produced. In addition to LL Cool J, Chris O’Donnell (52) also plays the main role in the Los Angeles edition. Not a matter of course: both stars stayed with the series for the entire duration.
Although it will end after Season 14, “Navy CIS: LA” is one of the longest-lived CBS series – only four shows, including “NCIS”, have remained faithful longer.
