Naya Rivera died in a tragic bathing accident. Her fans want to get together and remember her with candlelights.

At only 33 years old, "Glee" star Naya Rivera (1987-2020) died in a bathing accident. Her four-year-old son was left alone on a boat. Her fans now want to say goodbye to the actress together. A Twitter fan page with around 20,000 followers calls for a joint vigil on Lake Piru. The body of the US star was found there on Monday (July 13).

Mask and social distancing as protection against corona infection

The candlelit gathering to commemorate the actress is scheduled for August 1, 2020 in Los Padres National Forest in Ventura County, California. "Let's celebrate her life and appreciate the joy she gave people," said the event in a tweet. In the comments, fans ask everyone involved to wear a mask due to the corona pandemic and to pay attention to social distancing.

Naya Rivera had rented a boat to go on an excursion on Lake Piru with her son. The four-year-old was later found alone on the boat, Rivera had been missing since July 8th. The divers discovered Rivera's body last Monday.
