After Naya Rivera's tragic accidental death in July, her "Glee" colleagues are remembering her with a pre-Christmas fundraising campaign.

After the tragic death of Naya Rivera (1987-2020), who drowned in a boat accident in July of this year, her former colleagues are now commemorating the actress with a fundraising campaign. Some ask about the holidays Cast in the series "Glee" (2009-2015) on Twitter for donations to Rivera's favorite charity.

Friends of the late actress founded the GoFundMe site "SNIXXMAS Charity Drive in Memory of Naya Rivera", which raises money for the Alexandria House women's shelter. "Snixxxmas" was the name of a Christmas party that the actress organized every year to celebrate with family and friends, but also to get involved in charity. The Alexandria House in Los Angeles, which helps women and their children to move from emergency shelters to permanent homes, is particularly important to her.

Actors ask for donations on Twitter

Rivera's former fellow actors Chris Colfer (30), Kevin McHale (32), Jenna Ushkowitz (34) as well Jane Lynch (60) asked on her Twitter accounts to donate for the campaign. So far, around 50,000 euros have been collected from around 2,500 donors.

Naya Rivera rented a boat on July 8th to take her four-year-old son on a trip on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. The little boy was later found sleeping on the boat. On July 13, Rivera's body was discovered by divers. Authorities confirmed that the 33-year-old had drowned.

The actress became known as Santana Lopez in the TV series "Glee". Her son is from her marriage (2014-2018) to Ryan Dorsey (37).
