Goodbye Germany! Nazan Eckes is gradually moving her life to Mallorca. The TV presenter’s decision will change her life and that of her children forever.
Nazan Eckes: Bit by bit to Mallorca
“I’m completely moving my life here bit by bit, that’s why you see me more and more often on the island,” explains Nazan Eckes in an interview with “Mallorca Magazin” on the sidelines of the opening gala of the ATP tennis tournament and continues: “I’m working right now planning to live permanently in Mallorca soon.”
The house with pool, which Eckes has owned for several years, is located in the north of the island. The native of Cologne will continue to be present on television. She explains: “I fly back and forth a lot for work anyway, I haven’t been in one place for a long time. In the future I’ll just fly from Mallorca.”
The 47-year-old loves “nature, the mountains, the sea and the sun” on Mallorca. She had “always planned to live in such an environment at some point”. “And now this dream is gradually coming true”, which would make Eckes “very happy”.
Co-parenting with her ex-husband Julian Khol
Nazan had already spent the last Christmas together with ex-husband Julian Khol, 43, an Austrian artist, with his sons in Mallorca. Due to illness, the family had to reschedule and spend the holidays in the sun instead of “with the grandparents in Vienna, as is traditional every year,” Eckes wrote in an Instagram post at the end of 2023.
According to her own statement, Nazan has a friendly relationship with her ex – the separation became known in October 2022. Eckes and Khol met in 2008 at the Life Ball in Vienna and tied the knot in Florence in 2012.
