How to Fix EFEAB30C/4B538E50 NBA 2K23 Error Message
Most of the time, you will be notified of this message if you have not updated to the latest NBA 2K23. You just have to wait for the end of the download to enjoy the game, with normally a message asking you to return to the main menu to take the update into account.
However, in other, more rare cases, this message relates to another problem. We list below the potential causes, and how to correct to no longer have it.
- Email confirmation problem.
- Go to the official website, log in at the top right and enter your MyPLAYER account.
- Email verification should then be performed.
- Too many NBA 2K accounts on the console.
- Only five NBA 2K accounts can be created per console.
- If more than five accounts are detected, only the first to be created will be able to play.
- The NBA 2K placeholder has been removed.
- When installing the game, a reserved space is given in order to keep a place for the data that will be added over time. If you delete this space, this error code could be displayed. This space will be recreated normally the next time the game is launched.
There is one final, bigger issue, due to software blocking connection to NBA 2K servers. If you’re having this issue, NBA 2K Support has shared a list of instructions to follow:
- On a computer (which should be attached to the router you are currently using), open the Start menu, type “CMD”, then press Enter.
- In the command prompt, type the following command: pathping -n 104.255.107.131
- After a few seconds, the command prompt will display some statistics. To copy the result, right-click anywhere in the window and click Select All. Press Ctrl+C to copy. Open Notepad or notepad. Press Ctrl+V to paste the stats into Notepad or Notepad.
- Then return to the command prompt window and type tracert 104.255.107.131, then press Enter. Wait until the window displays Route Determined. Also copy this information and send us these two documents as attachments by making a ticket.
