Like every year, after the NBA Finals, many players wait for 2K Sports to unveil the annual episode of the NBA 2K franchise. Very often, the first information arrives at the beginning of the summer, and is shared throughout the school holidays. This year is no exception to the rule, since after a little teasing of the cover of the standard version, two special editions have been revealed, both featuring basketball star Michael Jordan.
The six-time NBA winner, six times with the Chicago Bulls and three consecutive titles twice, will be on the jacket of NBA 2K23. It will even have the right to a special edition, highlighting the one that made many children and adults dream during the 1990s. Unsurprisingly, the developers want to take advantage of the 2023 edition to highlight the one who, throughout his career or almost, will have worn this famous number 23 on his jersey. This is the fourth time the American star has appeared on the cover of NBA 2K.
After making 23 the most recognizable number in sports, it only made sense for NBA 2K23 to offer the Michael Jordan Edition.
As we told you, two special editions will be offered for sale and pre-order. The first, the Michael Jordan Edition, and the second, the Championship Editionwhich also allows you to take advantage of a 12-month subscription to the NBA League Pass, to follow the entirety of next season.
For the rest, note that NBA 2K23 reintroduces the Jordan Challenge, with the original 10 challenges found in NBA 2K11, reworked, and 5 new iconic moments. A plus that will undoubtedly delight fans of the franchise.
New information will be shared on NBA 2K23 throughout the month of July, whether for pre-orders or the specifics of this opus.
