Actress Pauley Perrette may have left NCIS four years ago and removed the character of Abby from the small screen, but she remains one of the founding stones of the series, appearing in 352 episodes of the investigative series. Looking back, she delivers today what she considers to be her favorite episode.

Featured in the credits of the first 15 seasons of CBS’ flagship program, Perrette revealed to TV Insider that his favorite episode was Bloodbath, which aired during season 3:

It was one of the most difficult episodes for me to shoot because Abby finds herself being stalked and harassed, which has really happened to me in my life. I was afraid of how it was going to affect me, it was like putting my life on screen. I was scared at first, but it was really cathartic.

The episode is titled in French À l’amour, à la mort (S03E21) and tells how Perrette’s character, Abby, finds herself the target of an attempted murder with hydrogen cyanide. She only gets away with the help of “Tim” McGee (played by Sean Murray). The question is: who wants Abby?

For the record, this tragically plotted episode also allows us to see Abby playing the video game The Godfather (2006) which had just been released at the time of filming and which is inspired by GTA.

Pauley Perrette also performed the song fear, which features on the series’ soundtrack. She is credited there under the artist name “Stop Making Friends”:

Abby’s character has appeared in other series in the NCIS universe, such as Los Angeles (2 episodes) and New Orleans (2 episodes). In 2018, Perrette left the show after 15 seasons, a move that would follow her misunderstanding with Mark Harmon (Gibbs).

Here is the death that stood out to us the most in NCIS (warning, spoilers!):
