M6 is broadcasting the last two episodes of “NCIS: Hawaii” tonight. Will the detective series worn by Vanessa Lachey be entitled to a third season? We have the answer.
On April 15, M6 broadcast a double episode crossover event between NCIS: Enquêtes Spéciales and its spin-off, NCIS: Hawaii, which saw the special agents of the two units meet to carry out a large-scale investigation. This special opus thus kicked off season 20 and season 2 of the two detective series.
But after 11 weeks on the air, M6 will broadcast this Saturday, June 24 from 10:50 p.m. the latest NCIS investigation: Hawaii. This double episode will see Agent Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) find herself embroiled in a murder after being contacted by a man who was shot just before she met him.
Tennant realizes very quickly that this story is linked to an old mission dating back to his time at the CIA and visits Maggie in prison. Agent John Swift arrives at NCIS to suspend Tennant and resume the investigation…
A season 3 for NCIS: Hawaii?
Last February, CBS announced that NCIS: Special Investigations and NCIS: Hawaii were both renewed for an additional season. The latter will therefore be entitled to a season 3 which should arrive next year on the American channel.
For the moment, no information has been communicated on this new burst of episodes, except that LL Cool J, who camped Sam in NCIS: Los Angeles, should make appearances there. The actor, who will reprise his role on a recurring basis, also made his first appearance in the season 2 finale of NCIS: Hawaii.
We have to believe that after the cancellation of NCIS: Los Angeles after 14 years of good and loyal service (the detective series bowed out on May 21), LL Cool J was not yet ready to say goodbye to the franchise. If for the moment we do not know the extent of his role, he should be back for several episodes.
