During the season 21 finale of “NCIS,” Jessica Knight will make a decision that could change everything. Will her interpreter, Katerina Law, leave the detective series?

This Saturday June 8, M6 is broadcasting the last episode of season 21 of NCIS. A final part full of twists and turns which ended on a surprising cliffhanger.
Agent Jessica Knight, played by Katrina Law, has indeed accepted a position as head of REACT training at Camp Pendleton, on the other side of the country, thus making the future of the character in season 22 of NCIS, which has already been ordered, very uncertain.
Katrina Law leaving?
For the moment, neither the actress nor Steven D. Binder, the showrunner of NCIS, have confirmed the return of the character of Jessica Knight in season 22. “We planted a little seed…” explained Steven D. Binder to our colleagues at TVLine.
“And I refer you to everything we were able to do previously. We can never know. We’ve had people who looked like they were leaving and weren’t leaving, and we’ve had people who just disappeared, like Gibbs.“
“I’ll just tell you one thing: we want the audience to be happy, and we think the viewers will be happy with how things turn out..”
For her part, Katerina Law also returned to this finale. “I think ultimately Jessica has to take this job because she knows deep down that this is what she wants. She wants to have a good career, she is very ambitious, and for her, a long-distance relationship does not mean the end of the couple. […] She needs to move forward and see where things take her.”
Asked about her return in season 22 of NCIS, the actress laughingly advised “watch the first episode of the season.” Will an investigation bring her back to NCIS? Or will the first episode mark the character’s farewell? Answer next fall in season 22 of NCIS.
