After several years of absence, Michael Weatherlyn, who played Tony DiNozzo, has announced that he could soon make his comeback in the new season of “NCIS”.

This January 1, the actor posted on his account a video looking back on the past year and the year to come. An NCIS fan then took the opportunity to express his dearest wish, that of seeing Tony and Ziva”finally reunited”.
Michael Weatherly, who appeared for the last time in the famous police series in May 2016, at the end of season 13, then replied to him: “Stay connected… because this year could be interesting for such “moments”!”. Does this announcement mean that Special Agent Tony DiNozzo will be back in NCIS? The mystery remains intact.
In the Season 13 finale, Tony learned of Ziva’s death, killed in a bombing of the David family farmhouse. It was then that he discovered the existence of Tali, a young girl to whom Ziva had given birth several years before. Dinozzo then announced his desire to leave NCIS in order to take care of his daughter.
A few years later, during the season 16 finale, viewers learned that the character portrayed by Cote de Pablo was actually alive (but on the run), and that she was going to reconnect with her daughter’s father.
