Passers-by alerted the police on Monday morning that an older man was standing in the center of Hochburg-Ach (Upper Austria) with a weapon at the ready and conducting target practice.
The 68-year-old from Ostermiething was standing with his partner near the NMS Hochburg-Ach and was observed apparently aiming a weapon. His partner photographed him in different poses. When the witnesses asked him about it, the two of them walked away, but behaved in a highly aggressive manner. Sports pistolAlert police officers were able to catch the duo shortly afterwards. The 68-year-old explained to the officers that it was a sports laser pistol that did not shoot projectiles. For this reason, he doesn’t understand the fuss about it at all. Weapons ban The police did not share this assessment and imposed a temporary weapons ban on the Innviertler, which was reported to the district administrative authorities.
