The facts, revealed by the daily “Nice-Matin”, date back to Sunday when the victim’s sister, unable to reach her and faced with the confused explanations of the partner, warned the gendarmerie who discovered the deceased victim at his home, under a sheet, in the presence of the partner who had not given the alert.

“There are still a lot of gray areas, we don’t know in particular what the victim died of,” Alain Guimbard, deputy prosecutor in Grasse, told AFP.
In his first statements, the suspect explained that his concubine, with whom he had been living for a few months, would have fallen on her own before getting up without damage during an alcoholic evening dating back to Thursday or Friday. His statements seem compatible with the first forensic findings on the time of death, according to this same source. Apart from a few bruises, no injury that could explain the death of this woman born in 1973 does not appear on the body either.
