negotiations suspended at Groupe ADP on the eve of the strike

Paris airports risk being paralyzed by the strike from Thursday 1er July on the occasion of the first major holidays. Several negotiation meetings between the management of Groupe ADP, manager of the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly platforms, came to nothing. Until now, management still refuses to withdraw its plan to adapt employment contracts (PACT). It provides for reductions in remuneration by reducing certain bonuses. Likewise, employees who refuse a reduction in their remuneration could be made redundant. To increase the pressure, the CGT, UNSA and CFE-CGC unions filed a strike notice of 1er to July 5.

According to them, the first round of negotiations, Tuesday, June 29, “Did not go very well”. The direction “Does not want to withdraw his project on the pretext that it has been validated by the general management of work”, explains Daniel Bertone, General Secretary of CGT at Groupe ADP.

The unions are standing up against the management plan which, according to them, could lead to pay cuts of up to 20%. “This is incorrect”, retorted Augustin de Romanet, CEO of Groupe ADP, interviewed, Tuesday, on RTL. “Beyond 7%, we compensate for all losses and 88% of our employees will not lose more than 4%”, he clarified.

However, according to the unions, the climate has changed somewhat since the strong mobilization of employees on the occasion of a first day of strike, Friday, June 18. According to Mr. Bertone, Groupe ADP would now like to find “An honorable outcome to the crisis without calling into question its project”.

“New proposals”

Management seems stuck between very upset employees and airlines worried about possible disruptions in their activities. On the eve of the conflict, Mr. de Romanet tried to reassure the companies and future passengers: “Our effort will be to ensure that the planes are at most delayed, but, here it is, there is no question for us to have inconveniences for the passengers which exceed what would be reasonable. “

A second union meeting with management, Tuesday afternoon, “Did not allow strike notices to be lifted at this stage”, sorry Daniel Bertone. However, recognize the unions, Groupe ADP “Formulated new proposals to better manage the cuts in remuneration”. For its part, the management displays “A will to achieve” carried by “Enriched proposals”.
