Another drone attack on ammunition dumps in Crimea

Last week, two ammunition depots in Crimea exploded after drone attacks. Now a depot is said to have been hit again in the Dschankoj district. The traffic is stopped, the adjacent villages are to be evacuated.
According to official information, another ammunition depot was hit in a drone attack on the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which has been illegally annexed by Russia since 2014. Eleven drones were shot down over Crimea or caused to crash by radio jamming, said Moscow’s governor Sergey Aksyonov on his Telegram channel. However, there was an “impact in the ammunition depot in the Dschankoj district”.
Videos with a large cloud of smoke can be seen on social networks. In addition, a residential building in the south of the peninsula was damaged. Dzhankoy is a district in northeastern Crimea. Many camps and depots for supplying the Russian occupying forces in southern Ukraine are housed here. The most important supply line for these units runs through the Crimea. Aksyonov did not provide any specific information about the impact of the hit in the ammunition depot.
Rail and vehicle traffic on the route between Dzhankoy and the regional capital Simferopol was suspended. The neighboring towns are to be evacuated. Two ammunition depots in Crimea were hit in attacks last week.
First a depot in the center was hit, then an arsenal in the south. Ammunition continued to explode there for days. In both cases, the Ukrainian military confirmed that they were behind the attacks. In addition, the bridge leading from the Russian mainland to Crimea was damaged in a drone attack at the beginning of last week. Two people died as a result.
