Comedian Neil Patrick Harris will play the main role in the series “Uncoupled”, the 8 episodes of which are expected from July 29 on Netflix.
The former interpreter of Barney Stinson in How I met your mother will play the character of Michael, a newly single man after the departure of her husband with whom he shared 17 years of common life.
Exhausted by a difficult separation, devastated at the thought of losing the one he considered to be his other half, and frightened at the idea of finding himself alone as a gay man in his forties living in New York, Michael dreads this new stage of his life. An apprehension which, according to the trailer, should be short-lived.
“Separations are hard, but single life doesn’t have to be,” reads the trailer for this series created by Darren Star, who is behind the series Emily in Paris, and Jeffrey Richman , screenwriter known in particular for his work on the series Modern Family. The 8 episodes were directed by Andrew Fleming and Zoe Cassavetes.
