Singer Nena ("Just Dreamed") dropped several bombs in her latest interview. The artist, who is celebrating her 60th birthday next Tuesday, is far from having enough music. A break doesn't seem absurd. "I can already imagine taking a longer musical break. But only after my tour next year," she said to "Bild am Sonntag".
How does she imagine time away from the limelight? "It doesn't have to be very far for me. (…) I like to travel around Europe," says the artist. Above all, it is important that it is "a quiet place", "where I can go inside". An island possibly.
A late yes maybe?
Nena has been with drummer Philipp Palm (47) since the 1990s. The two never married, despite having two children together. But that also seems to change in the future. Bomb number two of the singer: "Age does not protect against foolishness. So it is quite possible that I will get married someday. (…) It is just a feeling."
In addition to the children Samuel Vincent and Simeon Joel with Palm, Nena, whose real name is Gabriele Susanne Kerner, has two other children. The twins Sakias and Larissa come from the relationship with actor Benedict Freitag (67).
