After Nena was repeatedly criticized for her statements at a concert, she has now canceled her tour for 2022.

After her last appearances were repeatedly canceled, Nena (61) has now canceled her entire tour for 2022. The singer announced this on Instagram. “I don’t want to go around it for long. My tour in 2022 will not take place. And I won’t postpone it a second time,” she writes about a black and white photo of herself.

In July, Nena caused a stir with some statements during a concert in Berlin. Some of the visitors had not adhered to the rules of distance, whereupon the singer said, among other things: “Everyone is free to decide, just as everyone is free to decide whether or not to be vaccinated.” Numerous organizers then distanced themselves from the musician, and several shows were canceled.

Tickets are refundable

“I stand by my statement: Everyone is welcome at a Nena concert,” she said of the latest events in the post. “Here in our country, things are going in a completely different direction at the moment and I’m not participating.” Finally, she addresses her fans directly: “I’m looking forward to getting back together with you somewhere and at some point – and we will! In freedom and love.” Tickets that have already been reimbursed can therefore be returned.
