Neoen carries out an issue of OCEANEs for 300 million euros

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Renewable energy producer Neoen on Wednesday placed 300 million euros in convertible bonds (OCEANEs) maturing in 2027.

The OCEANEs, with a nominal unit value of 100,000 euros, will bear interest at an annual rate of 2.875%. The conversion premium was set at 35% compared to the reference price of the Neoen share, the group said in a press release.

“This issue was carried out under very favorable conditions for Neoen and its shareholders”, commented Xavier Barbaro, the group’s chairman and CEO, quoted in a press release.

The net proceeds of the issue will be used to finance or refinance renewable energy production or storage projects, Neoen added.

Neoen also announced the exercise of the early redemption option of the existing OCEANEs for an amount of approximately 200 million euros expiring in October 2024.
