Neoen: JPMorgan is monitoring the file with interest

(CercleFinance.com) – JPMorgan announced Thursday that it has added the stock Neoen, a French independent producer of exclusively renewable energies, to its list of stocks to watch with interest (‘catalyst watch’).

Although he acknowledges that his preference is not necessarily for specialists in renewable energies at the present time, the intermediary highlights the positive evolution of the file, thanks to projects delivered on time and to the rise in electricity prices.

JPMorgan also explains that it expects this favorable dynamic to increase next year in the wake of measures taken by the French government to protect the sector.

Electric renewable operators will indeed be able to sell their electricity for 18 months on the markets, which are currently at their highest, in order to be able to make their investments profitable.

According to JPMorgan, this system could support Neoen’s share price until the publication of its 2022 annual results on February 28.

In general, the analyst notes that the current energy crisis and its repercussions on electricity prices are a buoyant element for the company.

If it raises its target price on the value, which goes from 37.5 to 41 euros, JPMorgan nevertheless maintains a ‘neutral’ opinion on the action, explaining that it currently prefers integrated energy players such as Engie or RWE.
