(CercleFinance.com) – Neoen and its partner Prokon, a large renewable energy cooperative, announce the signing of a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with Equinix for at least 42 MW of green energy in Finland.
This is the second PPA signed with Equinix, through which its five Finnish International Business Exchanges (IBX) data centers will be powered by renewable energy. With a duration of 10 years, this contract is partially indexed to market prices
Neoen and Prokon will thus supply Equinix with 80% of the green electricity and guarantees of origin produced by the future Lumivaara wind farm, the construction of which should be launched in 2023, for commissioning scheduled for the beginning of the year. 2025.
