(CercleFinance.com) – Neoen and the renewable energy cooperative Prokon have kicked off work on the Storbötet and Lumivaara wind farms that they jointly own in Finland with a combined capacity of 161.2 MW.
The Storbötet wind farm, located in the municipality of Uusikaarlepyy, is expected to have 17 Vestas wind turbines, for a total capacity of 105.4 MW (compared to 95 MW initially planned).
Located in the municipality of Hyrynsalmi, the Lumivaara wind farm will consist of 9 Vestas wind turbines, with a total capacity of 55.8 MW (compared to 53 MW originally planned).
The commissioning of these two parks is scheduled for 2025.
Neoen owns 80% of the shares of each park, the remaining 20% belonging to Prokon, which co-developed these two projects with Neoen.
