Multi-compatible coffee makers are not legion on the portioned coffee market. And yet, their interest is great. By making this machine compatible with Nespresso, Dolce Gusto and Senseo capsules and pods, Auchan has understood the interest of appealing to many coffee lovers and is launching its Qilive Q.5720. Other relatively unknown manufacturers have already tried this versatility: while the Chulux coffee maker became compatible with Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules, the Ikohs brand also provided a filter holder for ground coffee. It is therefore the first time that a manufacturer alone has brought together the three best-selling pods in France.
Aesthetically, this coffee maker is halfway between a Nespresso and Dolce Gusto model. Small, compact and rounded, it works with a capsule holder system to ensure its versatility. In its operation, it seems to pose no problem, so it is possible to select a length of coffee to launch the espresso. It should be noted in this respect that the coffee maker provides a pressure of 20 bars, therefore higher than that of the Nespressos. From there, one can wonder about the capacity of the Qilive Q.5720 to prepare a Senseo filter coffee in the rules of the art. Indeed, remember that Philips Senseo machines deliver a pressure of 2 bars just enough to prepare a filter coffee in a pod.
For the rest, this coffee maker has very simple functions: an automatic coffee stop, an automatic standby mode and a small height-adjustable cup rest to adapt to the size of the container.
