Google formalizes a new version of its connected doorbell Nest Doorbell. This model is slightly more compact than the battery-powered one launched last year and is differentiated by corded operation. No battery here, therefore, but a 16-24 V type electrical connection.
This new wired Nest Doorbell has a 1.3 megapixel sensor that allows you to record high quality images, HDR moreover, with the possibility of enjoying three hours of history in the Cloud at no additional cost. Those who wish to take advantage of extended functionalities (continuous recording, facial recognition, etc.) will however have to subscribe to Nest Aware.
There is also the intelligent detection of people, packages and vehicles as well as the possibility of creating detection zones. It is also possible to chat live with visitors, but also via pre-recorded messages. Furthermore, the company claims that the product has a lower carbon footprint than the previous model and is made from 43% recycled materials.
In the United States, this new connected doorbell Nest Doorbell signed Google will be sold at a price of 179 dollars. It should be displayed at just under 200 euros with us. In addition, it will be available in four colors, namely Linen, Snow, Ivy and Ash.
