Netatmo surveillance cameras will communicate for enhanced protection

Unity is strength, and Netatmo probably knows the adage well. The French connected home specialist announces the arrival of an update aimed at allowing its Indoor Camera (formerly Welcome) and its Smart Outdoor Camera with Siren (enhanced version of the old Presence) to communicate so that the can trigger the siren of the other when an intrusion is detected. The first does not offer a native siren, but can be supplemented with the Inner Siren.

The union of the two sirens, with a power of 110 dB each, is obviously supposed to reinforce the deterrent effect. Residents and neighbors should logically also have a little more chance of hearing the signal and being able to react in time, but the user will of course be notified on his smartphone.

Some will say that it is surprising that Netatmo did not offer this functionality earlier, especially since it was already possible to use the Indoor Siren with the opening detectors for doors and windows of the brand in associating them with said Interior Camera. Only the Exterior Camera finally stood apart. Thanks to this update, we can also note that the opening detectors will also be able to trigger the exterior siren via the Interior Camera.
