NetEase: The creative director of Watch Dogs is the new recruit of the Chinese publisher


Like Tencent, NetEase continues its irretrievable rise to the top of the industry by surrounding itself with big names that appeal to a more Western audience. Recently, the group offered the services of the French studio Quantic Dream, bought out 100% after having already injected money into the capital of the studio. Today, it is a new recruit of choice that should be noted, since Jonathan Morin joins NetEase as creative director on a brand new license.

NetEase strengthens its studio in Montreal

If you don’t know the gentleman, note that he is the origin of the first two Watchdogs of Ubisoft by being creative director on the two opuses.

A list of achievements which interested NetEase very closely, which chose to poach him for place it in his studio in Montreal. A studio that was created in 2019, and which so far has only stood out for the publication of Naraka: Bladepoint. The team also includes Emile Liang as lead producerwho has worked on other Ubisoft games, such as far cry and Assassin’s Creed.

Morin will now work on a brand new license that has not yet been announced:
