Netflix: after Dahmer, a sequel with two new killers

The success of “Dahmer” on Netflix encourages the platform to continue its momentum with two new seasons devoted to other criminal cases.

Since its release, Dahmer: Monster – The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer has caused a lot of ink to flow. Beyond its many controversies, the series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan has established itself as one of the biggest successes in the entire history of the platform. In the coming weeks, the program should even cross the bar of one billion hours of viewing.

It is therefore no surprise that the streaming giant is ordering two additional seasons. Obviously, this is not Dahmer’s sequel, but new installments centered on “other monstrous figures who impacted society“.

Jeffrey Dahmer was already not the only criminal present in the mini-series. Murderers John Wayne Gacy and Ed Gein were already making stealthy appearances. There is currently no information on what topics these two seasons will cover. One thing is for sure, creator Ryan Murphy will always be in charge.

The screenwriter and producer is a regular on anthology series, as proven by American Horror Story, American Crime Story and Feud, whose second season is currently filming in New York.

Following the many criticisms of which he has been the subject, Ryan Murphy has recently come out of silence. He claims to have contacted the relatives of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims before the start of production. “I did not get any answer“, he revealed, before adding: “I don’t think all gay stories have to be happy stories.

Dahmer: Monster – The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is available on Netflix.
