The best food shows for foodies

Chef’s Table

Chef’s Table brings the passion for cooking into your own four walls thanks to unique recordings, pictures and interviews of the highest quality. The series introduces the best chefs and restaurateurs in the world and shows their exciting gourmet concepts – it makes haute cuisine accessible to everyone. Eleven of the chefs in this Emmy-nominated documentary series made it onto “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants”. Among them is a German star chef: Tim Raue from Berlin.

In June 2021 season 5, the long-awaited extension of “Somebody Feed Phil” will be announced. Kitchen Impossible

While some watch the crime scene on Sundays, foodies switch to VOX: A new season of Kitchen Impossible has been running there every year since 2016. With Tim Mälzer at the helm, Germany’s top chefs also face a top-class culinary challenge in every episode: the two of them compete in duels around the world to cook local favorite dishes as perfectly as possible.

The exciting cooking challenge, however, has one catch: all the ingredients are not neatly on a recipe, but must be tasted by the star chefs themselves and then combined with one another as true to the original as possible. A jury of critical regular guests then evaluates the cooked dish.

The opponents: Inside are red-hot duels at the stove and sometimes seem to almost despair of the task. Rough maltster sayings, great recordings and exciting stories about the guests – the food program, which is well worth seeing, thrives on all of this. A real homage to cooking.

Zora just cooks it!

With freshly harvested ingredients from Ole Beeker’s garden, Zora Klipp prepares healthy dishes – with a large portion of taste! The hobby cook and restaurateur proves that you don’t have to stand at the stove for long and need all sorts of international ingredients with her food program “Zora kocht’s simply” on NDR. Together with guests from the north of Germany, she cooks with a lot of charm, wit and knowledge. With her great love for food, she infects the audience and creates modern dishes for every day from mostly seasonal and regional products.
