The Trigger (Kill la Kill) studio and Netflix finally reveal a trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners, the animated series based on the game Cyberpunk 2077. An explosive and promising video.
The animation studio Trigger (Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia…) has the heavy task of adapting Cyberpunk 2077 into a series on behalf of Netflix. And after an opening credits which may have displeased because of its music, the two partners catch up with a big trailer. While there will certainly be discussions about whether or not to respect the universe, visually it’s engaging.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners will be an animated series divided into 10 episodes. Based on the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, it will tell the life of a street kid who tries to survive in an environment devoured by technology and body modifications.
VSyberpunk: Edgerunners tells the story of a street urchin in 10 episodes trying to survive in a city of the future obsessed with technology and body modification. While he has everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive becoming Edgerunner, an outlaw mercenary also called Cyberpunk.
In the new trailer, we have a proper presentation of the Edgerunners team. There’s David Maine, Dorio, Kiwi, Pilar, Rebecca and Lucy. Violence, humor and lively animation, it looks very promising on paper. Remain to transform the test and to see on the length. Meet in September 2022 !
