NETFLIX: Assassin’s Creed, the showrunner of the live-action series leaves the project

Since 2020, we know that a series Assassin’s Creed in live action is in pre-production at netflix. The firm had it briefly teased at the time and we learned the following year that Jeb Stuart would be the showrunner of this enticing project, he who already held this position for the series Vikings: Valhalla on the same platform SVoD.

Ubisoft talked about the series again Assassin’s Creed at his conference last September, but this week we learn that the showrunner Jeb Stuart leaves the project. In an interview given to Collider, he explains that it is above all a question of artistic differences and that the new team in London will still have to take up his ideas without developing theirs. However, he adds:

I know it’s gonna be great when it comes out. I think the Ubisoft guys are fantastic. I think it’s a terrific franchise. It was just a good mutual time to move on for both parties.

Jeb Stuart seems to be getting off to a pretty good start and he recalls in passing thatUbisoft Film and Television is involved in this adaptation project. Whatever, series Assassin’s Creed is still in pre-productionwe will have to wait a while before discovering the first episodes on netflix. Until then, you can always find Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to €17.99 on Gamesplanet.
