The failure of the video game series adaptation project BioShock in film by Gore Verbinski will remain a great regret of the video game industry. Many would have liked to see what the director of Pirates of the Caribbean and A Cure for Wellness could have done with the famous license of 2K Games.
Netflix, 2K and Take-Two Interactive are teaming up to produce a film adaptation of the acclaimed BioShock video game franchise.

The idea of an adaptation of the license is however not buried, quite the contrary. netflix has just announced that it is associated with 2K and Take-Two Interactive to produce “a film adaptation of the famous BioShock video game franchise”. An illustration of big daddy is used to accompany the revelationgiving hope of a dive into the underground city of Raptureand not an exploration of the aerial city of columbia.
No director or even screenwriter in sight for the moment, so you can imagine that for the casting or the release date, you will have to go back. And the wait could be long, because video game adaptation projects sometimes take many years to materialize, even when netflix plays a role in it.
